SINGAPORE: Buona Vista is set to have a S$660 million shopping and entertainment mall by 2011.
The project does not have a name yet, but it will be built next to the Buona Vista MRT station.
The 50,000 square metre building will have a 5,000-seat theatre for concerts and conferences, as well as 1,000 parking lots.
It will also have four levels of retail and entertainment avenues such as boutiques, restaurants, wine bars and clubs.
It is also home to a large rooftop garden overlooking a pool.
The integrated hub is jointly developed by Rock Productions and CapitaLand, and is part of JTC Corporation's grand masterplan for One-North.

All New Creations rejoice(d yesterday)! Our new church building, due 2011 (3 more years of e-life Daniel), is part of JTC's One North masterplan. Built next to Buona Vista MRT (that explains the construction chaos there now I guess?), the building houses a 5200 seating auditorium, two 900 seating conference rooms, a 600 seating amphitheatre, and a 400 seating open air conference space. That, ladies and gentlemen, makes 9000 seats per service. The day we have 4 services and people strewn all around the floor, I dunno whether Pastor Prince will laugh or cry. Possibly both.
I kinda feel that this will be a building for great clean fun. Because our church is a major stakeholder after all, and I don't think they'd stand for like tattoo palours or massage parlours or shit like that. Especially when our members and more importantly youth members would be roaming around before and after service.
Thank you God!

Hi F,
Yes, I was amazed to see the building when Paster Prince announced this to the church on Sunday. I have hoped the building would be completed asap. Then that would be indeed a home to call our own. :)
Btw, last Sunday was my first service at New Creation. I totally enjoyed the wacky, yet powerful sermon.
Will definitely be back this Sunday.
God bless,
DJ Lamb
just a note: try to refrain from using even the mildest form of foul language (ie. shit) in a post that speaks of your faith, it doesn't give a too good image :).
Cool! Maybe we can even go together!
Firstly, I don't see the point of holding my usual writing style back just because it is a post speaking of my faith. I don't go trigger-happy on swearing, but at the same time I also don't bother tailoring my language to suit a 4-year-old's innocence. Being extra nice just for a faith-related post is deplorably hypocritical to me.
Secondly if you haven't already read my bolded italicised words, I hate anonymouses.
@anonymous: Shit is a foul word? By golly, we should petition to remove it from dictionaries and thesaurii then!
You might consider the context and the way he used the word "shit". And do so before you go around criticising other people's faith while hiding behind a cloak of anonymity.
It's cowardly and more despicable than a person who seemingly "swears", and shows what kind of beliefs (or lack thereof) that YOU subscribe to.

I thought I was nasty enough...
Daniel, I will never ever get you angry. Promise.
But thanks. :)
Megachurches are a good way of promoting the false gospel. If your pastors have any conscience, tell them to sell half their assets, donate to the poor and needy who need it more than them.
then downgrade and go live in a hdb.
@Prints: Hey I like that idea! But we shouldn't stop there. EVERYONE should donate half their assets, after all it's the "right thing to do".
So how about if you lead by example? Talk is cheap, after all.
hi farinelli,
i'm not angry, really. i just abhor double standards.
many people seem to think that they can apply standards to others that they themselves don't follow.
many of them people are all too ready to criticise and then become indignant when others rationally counter their ill-conceived comments.
Mat 26:11
"For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.
prints: give half of what the Lord God Himself blessed them with to feed poor and needy people whom He can make a thousandfold richer in a single instant? What an insult to God's wisdom.
christian whom Jesus loved: Cryptic... could you elaborate?
daniel: I do have to agree. Perhaps its just to satisfy the lack of peace they are feeling...?
Are you from NCC? Drop me an email, I'd like to know you better.
